Nathan began taking Art Lessons at the Art of Excellence Studio as an eighth grader in 2021.
Although he always liked Art and made sketches, he felt unsure about what he could learn to create.
After learning the basics of sighting, contour drawing and measuring, in Nathan's words " drawing became easy."
Nathan says "I enjoyed doing my first graphite portrait because it was something I never thought I could do. I also enjoyed using pastels for the first time because they blend so well and require no drying time."
