Beginner, Sofiya Rakitina, has just finished painting the silhouette of a bridge at sunset. She used watercolor washes to create the illusion of a glowing sky and the reflective surface of the water. Very good brush control, Sofiya!

Beginner Ariel Strizhevsky, has just finished this watercolor of a cute puppy. She learned about negative painting during this project and did a great job!  The 2015 Student Exhibit reception was well attended and a spectacular display of the best work by the Art of Excellence students. Works by Beginner Level 1 and 2 and Advanced students will be on display until June 29 at the Pine Gallery in Fair Lawn Library. Don't miss seeing this exhibit!
