"Monarch", watercolor Dominic Barbarani
Dominic ( who is 10 yrs old ) began taking Art Lessons at the Art of Excellence Studio almost 2 years ago.
In his own words: "I learned contour drawing which helped me draw things more accurately. I also learned to check proportions while drawing. In watercolor, I learned to layer paints to create different shades and effects. I like it!"
His watercolor painting of the Monarch butterfly required many layers, and yet it has a very "light" quality to it.
