Let Art be part of your child's fun filled summer!
The Art of Excellence Studio will be offering two exciting themed sessions during the month of August, with educational and engaging crafts and activities for children ages 7 - 12.
Each session runs for two weeks (Monday - Friday 9:30am - 1pm), and parents can have the option of signing up for single or multiple weeks.
Seating is limited to a small group, so if you would like to reserve a seat for your child, please use the "Contact the Artist" page, put the Camp Session Theme and dates in the subject header and your e-mail will be promptly answered.

Native Americans wk1 Aug 4-8; wk2 Aug 11-15
This theme immerses the children in the richly diverse environments, cultures and crafts of the Native Americans. They will learn the universal Native American Sign Language, earn their feathers for status in our "tribe", play a variety of games originating from the different geographic communities, and make crafts unique to each Native American people group.

Exploring Space wk1 Aug18-22; wk2Aug 25-29
First we will travel back in time to learn about our unique life-supporting planet and how the concept of time and the ability to navigate our own planet began.
Moving gradually forward in time and outward into space, we will learn more about our solar system. The children will explore galaxies, learn about the use of rockets, and examine breathtaking Hubble Telescope images, and see the possibilities of other worlds out there.
The children will make crafts relating to each element of space that we explore.
A field trip to the Planetarium at Bergen Community College is tentatively scheduled.
